SBI to Recruit 1000 Probationary Officers

Many aspirants are eagerly waiting for the announcement of SBI PO Recruitment 2012. State Bank of India has been very regular in conducting its Probationary Officers Recruitment Program for many years now and its PO recruitment exam is most popular among the aspirants, preparing for the Bank PO Exam.

As you all know that SBI has recently concluded the written exam for its recruitment of 9500 clerks. And aspirants are now waiting for the announcement of Probationary Officer vacancies.

SBI is likely to announce recruitment for 1000 Probationary Officers as the chairman of SBI has recently told “ “This year, the bank would make 9,500 clerical level appointments and nearly 1,000 probationary officers to be inducted,” SBI Chairman Pratip Chaudhuri said in Bhopal on 26.06.2012, the process would be completed by Dussehra, he added.

According to the annual report of SBI, overall staff strength declined by 7,452 employees during the last fiscal.

As on March 31, 2012, the bank had a total permanent staff strength of 2,15,481, which included 80,404 officers, 95,715 clerical staff and the remaining 39,362 were sub-staff.

In 2011-12, SBI’s net profit rose by about 42 per cent to Rs 11,707 crore – one of highest net profits earned by a corporate in the country.

    SBI is taking very much time to announce the vacancies. Also last time Mr. Pratip Chaudhuri told that SBI will recruit 2500 POs. But now he is saying it will be only 1000. Even God can’t say what will the vacancy.

      yes thats true, even if they announce 1000 vacancies that would be disappointing as we all are expecting much larger number of vacancies from India,s largest bank.
