SBI PO Study Plan – Preliminary Exam 2016

SBI PO Preliminary Exam is going to be conducted shortly. Not many days have left for the exam. In this post I am going to tell you about the SBI PO Study Plan. As I have always told you that the first step for good preparation is to have a good command over SBI PO Exam Pattern. Therefore please go through the SBI PO Exam Pattern once again. Get a very good idea about the sections, number of questions, total number of marks and time required to solve the exam.

In this post I am going to tell you SBI PO Study Plan for the preliminary Exam 2016.

The preliminary examination of SBI PO 2016 will consists of 100 questions of 100 marks. There will be three sections. The duration of the preliminary exam will be 1 hour.

First you should understand that there will be sectional as well as overall cut off in SBI PO preliminary exam. Therefore your study plan should be aimed at qualifying sectional as well as overall cut off. Otherwise the very purpose of your preparation will be defeated.

Let me also tell you that it would not be very difficult to qualify the preliminary exam of SBI PO for a well prepared student. But even for well prepared students a proper planning and strategy is required. Even average students can prepare well in the time which has left now. If you prepare well along with practice you can surely qualify the SBI PO Exam in your very first attempt.

SBI PO Study Plan for Reasoning Section

For reasoning section you need to sharpen your logical skills. In SBI PO the Reasoning Section is based mostly on logic. The best method for the preparation is to practice all the type of questions. Practice as many times as you can. Important topics for this section are Blood Relations, syllogism, statement and conclusions, missing character, directions, seating arrangements, ranking, data sufficiency, puzzles, analogy, coding decoding, classifications and other non verbal reasoning questions.

SBI PO Study Plan for Quantitative Aptitude Section

For Quantitative Aptitude section you need to sharpen your Numerical Ability. You should be well aware of the concepts only then you will be able to solve the questions quickly. Best method is to solve the simple and easy questions quickly. Do not waste your time on a question which is taking lot of time. Practice a lot to solve the questions through oral calculations only. Important topics here are Number systems, number series, simple and compound interest, time and work, time and distance, profit and loss, percentage, average, ratio and proportion, data interpretation, probability etc.

SBI PO Study Plan for English Section

Most of the students find this section as the toughest. However any student who is good in English will not find this section difficult. One needs to learn basic concepts of English Grammar. Please ensure to read good English magazines and newspapers. Such readings will help in improving your English. Important topics are Reading comprehension, cloze test, spotting the error, para jumbles, idioms and phrases, synonyms, antonyms etc.

Important tips for SBI PO Exam

  • Please understand the importance of a proper study plan. The first and the most crucial step should be to make a proper day wise study plan for SBI PO 2016. Please make sure to follow and devote time as per your plan.
  • You need consistent efforts and practice to excel in the SBI PO exam.
  • Go through previous years papers as much as you can.
  • Daily solve at least one mock test and review and analyze it after solving.
