Objective of this Article: In this post we are going to tell you about the exam pattern and syllabus of State Bank Associate PO Exams 2014 which is likely to be conducted shortly.

Exam Pattern of State Bank Associates PO Exam 2014: The Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.

Online Test and Offline Test: State Bank Associates PO Exam 2014 will be a mix of Online as well as Offline test. The Objective Test will be online. Immediately after the online Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered. Questions relating to Descriptive Test will be available on computer (Online) and candidates will have to write the answers on the answer sheet (Offline) provided to them on Paper/Pen mode.

Objective Test: The Objective Test will be of 2 hours duration, consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each. Total marks will be 200. The following sections will be there.

1) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)

2) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers

3) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation

4) Test of Reasoning (High Level)

Sectional Cut Off: There will be sectional cut off for each section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks which are to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration (50marks) will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay)”.

The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.

Group Discussion: The Group Discussion will be of 20 marks and those who qualify in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive test and who stand sufficiently high in merit will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. Interview will be of 30 marks.

Final Selection: The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
