19243 Clerk jobs have been announced by this IBPS Clerk Notification. These vacancies are for recruitment in public sector banks other than SBI. The selection will be done based on the final score and your position in overall merit.

If you have scored high and ranked high in merit you may be allotted bank as per your preference. For example, you have given PNB as your 1st preference and in final merit your rank is high. In such a case PNB will be allotted to you. If the vacancies for PNB have already been allotted to those who scored higher than you, then your 2nd choice may be considered. And if that is also not available your 3rd choice may be considered.

On the other hand bank such as Dena Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank are small banks and have less number of branches. So if you are looking for career growth and want to learn variety of work you can choose big and popular banks. Otherwise you may go for small banks.

Willingness to work in your hometown or home state: If you want to remain near to your home or to your state you can have this in mind while giving IBPS clerk bank preference. Look for banks which have more branches in your state and town. Select such banks and hope for the best. However you can only give preference. Banks are not bound to give postings as per your choice. This thing you should keep in mind so that you may not feel disappointed later.

Proficiency  in local or official language of the state:

It has been mentioned in the IBPS Clerk Notification that the candidate should have proficiency in the local or official language of the State/UT from where they wish to apply. IBPS Clerk is a state level exam and you have to select a state from where you want to apply. Therefore you should have ability to read, write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT. Hindi speaking candidates can apply from different states.

Question: Can I apply for any other state which is not my home state?

Answer: Yes, you can apply for any clerical vacancies in any state. However it is must for you to have the knowledge of the official language of that particular state.

Question: Will I be transferred to other states?

Answer: No, for clerk jobs, the transfers will be only in your home state.

    Sir me Gujarat se belong karta hu aur yahi se apply karna chahta hu ….so aap bank ki preference bata sakte he ..jis bank ki vacancy Gujarat me jyada ho….aur any suggestion ke konse state se apply karna thik rahega …agar Hindi ka knowledge ho to….reply soon
