IBPS ambiguous selection process has been hugely disappointed for the aspirant preparing for bank exams; IBPS is being criticized for its selection process as there are many flaws in the selection process. Be it print media or web world, IBPS is being criticized by everyone for its strange selection process.
Candidates with pass scorecard are ending up without a single interview call and they are wandering what to do with the pass scorecard.
Here are some fact and figures which are making mockery of IBPS selection process:
IBPS conducted written test to select probationary officers and management trainees for 19 nationalized banks in September 2011 in which lacs of candidates appeared. Till date, the banks have collectively announced only 18,947 posts against which 14,759 candidates have been announced selected going through interview and other procedures.
As per the figures available because of final selection of one candidate in more than one bank 5,925 seats have been blocked. The candidates who were not invited for interview by any bank argue that around 6000 seats are blocked by the top scoring candidates the banks must prepare a waiting list of candidates and call them for interview. There are more than 100 candidates who have got more than 5 selections, thus blocking many seats.
Irony is that the banks are also singing there own songs as far as selection process is concerned and each bank is having its own riders and eligibility criteria’s for selection apart from IBPS scorecard. It appears that bank jobs have become even stiffer than that of Civil Services.
